Born in Hokkaido. Received B.S. in Literature from Hokkaido University; M.S. in Leadership Research from Azusa Pacific University. After working in a total language service company, she received M.S. from International Space University.
In 2002, she played key roles in foundation of University Space Engineering Consortium (UNISEC) that supports faculty and students in colleges and high schools to build and launch their hand-made satellites and hybrid rockets.
She is also an executive director of UNISEC while working as an active lecturer and author.
Loves playing the Indian instrument "sitar".
