Born in Seoul, Korea. Received M.S. in Engineering from Korea University. While working in Hyundai Rotem as a control systems engineer, he became interested in aerospace engineering. Received Ph.D. degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Tokyo. R&D is his middle name. His hobbies include chess and he enjoys games online with his brother in Korea.
